(TSX / STATS) -- Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt isn't going to let a little thing like a finger injury slow him down, even if that injury reportedly dealt with a bone breaking through the skin.

When asked about his condition, Watt told the team's website on Tuesday that he was fine.

"It's inside my body, so it's still attached," the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year said.

Watt took a more graphic approach to describing his injury on Sunday immediately following the 29-7 loss to Jacksonville.

"Just busted the bone through the skin," the 28-year-old Watt said of his finger injury, per the Houston Chronicle.

Watt and the Texans (0-1) look to rebound on Thursday (8:25 p.m. ET) when they visit the Cincinnati Bengals (0-1).
