Rondo grabbed two rebounds and dished out 18 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +7 in his 37:28 of playing time. He added one block and five steals. Rondo went 1 of 2 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Rondo returned after a one-game absence. He's averaging 11.8 points and 11.4 assists in his five December contests.
Dec. 11 7:29 PM PT8:29 PM MT9:29 PM CT10:29 PM ET3:29 GMT11:29 8:29 PM MST10:29 PM EST7:29 UAE (+1)04:2922:29 ET9:29 PM CTNaN: - Rondo scored 13 points Monday, going 5 of 12 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Houston Rockets 130-123. Rondo grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 12 assists, tallying a plus-minus of -15 in his 42:03 on the floor. Rondo went 3 of 5 from 3-point range.
Analysis: This is Rondo's first triple-double of the season and matched a season high for points and set a season best in boards.
Dec. 8 3:59 PM PT4:59 PM MT5:59 PM CT6:59 PM ET23:59 GMT7:59 4:59 PM MST6:59 PM EST3:59 UAE (+1)00:5918:59 ET5:59 PM CTNaN: - Rondo (rest) will sit out Friday's game at Sacramento.
Analysis: The Pelicans are starting a stretch of three games in four days, and a home matchup with the lowly Kings is probably a good spot to give their 31-year-old point guard a breather. Ian Clark will start in Rondo's place, though expect Jrue Holiday to man the point quite a bit.
Dec. 6 7:23 PM PT8:23 PM MT9:23 PM CT10:23 PM ET3:23 GMT11:23 8:23 PM MST10:23 PM EST7:23 UAE (+1)04:2322:23 ET9:23 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored 11 points Wednesday on 5-of-7 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans topped the Denver Nuggets 123-114. Rondo pulled down six rebounds and dished out seven assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -3 in his 25:59 of playing time. Rondo went 1 of 1 from behind the arc.
Analysis: It took a little time for Rondo to get going after missing the season's first 3 1/2 weeks recovering from sports hernia surgery, but he's going well now with four straight double-figure scoring efforts. The four-time All-Star is averaging a very solid 11.5 points, 9.8 assists and 6.5 rebounds during that stretch, plus he's shooting a noteworthy 58.8 percent from the floor in those games.
Dec. 4 8:10 PM PT9:10 PM MT10:10 PM CT11:10 PM ET4:10 GMT12:10 9:10 PM MST11:10 PM EST8:10 UAE05:1023:10 ET10:10 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored 10 points Monday on 4-of-9 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Golden State Warriors 125-115. Rondo pulled down five rebounds and had 11 assists, tallying a plus-minus of 0 in his 27:47 on the floor. He added two steals. Rondo went 2 of 6 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Rondo has averaged 11.7 points and 10.7 while recording three straight triple-doubles in three games this month.
Dec. 3 9:44 PM PT10:44 PM MT11:44 PM CT12:44 AM ET5:44 GMT13:44 10:44 PM MST12:44 AM EST9:44 UAE06:440:44 ET11:44 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored 12 points Saturday, going 5 of 9 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 123-116. Rondo pulled down six rebounds and dished out 10 assists, tallying a plus-minus of +15 in his 28:07 of playing time. He tacked on one steal. Rondo went 2 of 3 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Rondo may have finally fixed his shot, as he's 11 of 18 from the floor while notching back-to-back point-assist double-doubles. He's also pulled down 14 rebounds over those two contests, so the 31-year-old will have some definite fantasy appeal if he's able to keep scoring at a solid rate.
Dec. 2 9:47 PM PT10:47 PM MT11:47 PM CT12:47 AM ET5:47 GMT13:47 10:47 PM MST12:47 AM EST9:47 UAE06:470:47 ET11:47 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored 13 points Friday, going 6 of 9 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Utah Jazz 114-108. Rondo pulled down eight rebounds and dished out 11 assists, tallying a plus-minus of +1 in his 28:38 of playing time. Rondo went 1 of 3 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Rondo totaled just 19 points combined while shooting an awful 27.3 percent over his previous five games, so be skeptical of this being a breakout performance. He's still really good at passing the ball, though, having averaged 7.1 assists over his last eight games.
Nov. 30 10:20 PM PT11:20 PM MT12:20 AM CT1:20 AM ET6:20 GMT14:20 11:20 PM MST1:20 AM EST10:20 UAE07:201:20 ET12:20 AM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored three points Wednesday on 1-of-3 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-102. Nov. 25 8:25 PM PT9:25 PM MT10:25 PM CT11:25 PM ET4:25 GMT12:25 9:25 PM MST11:25 PM EST8:25 UAE05:2523:25 ET10:25 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo went scoreless Saturday on 0-of-9 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Golden State Warriors 110-95. Rondo pulled down three rebounds and had six assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -10 in his 26:49 of playing time.
Analysis: This rates as a bad shooting night even by Rondo's low standards. The veteran point guard is now 6 for 26 from the field over his last three games and 1 of 11 from 3-point range since returning from sports hernia surgery. Fantasy owners probably aren't buying him for his scoring abilities, though, and he is averaging a solid 6.5 assists over his past six outings.
Nov. 24 7:53 PM PT8:53 PM MT9:53 PM CT10:53 PM ET3:53 GMT11:53 8:53 PM MST10:53 PM EST7:53 UAE (+1)04:5322:53 ET9:53 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored six points Friday on 3-of-9 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Phoenix Suns 115-91. Rondo pulled down five rebounds and had four assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +11 in his 22:33 on the floor. He added one steal.
Nov. 21 11:38 PM PT12:38 AM MT1:38 AM CT2:38 AM ET7:38 GMT15:38 12:38 AM MST2:38 AM EST11:38 UAE08:382:38 ET1:38 AM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored four points Monday, going 2 of 4 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-107. Rondo pulled down two rebounds and dished out eight assists, tallying a plus-minus of -19 in his 30:30 on the floor. He tacked on one steal.
Nov. 18 9:49 PM PT10:49 PM MT11:49 PM CT12:49 AM ET5:49 GMT13:49 10:49 PM MST12:49 AM EST9:49 UAE06:490:49 ET11:49 PM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored 13 points Friday, going 6 of 8 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Denver Nuggets 146-114. Rondo pulled down three rebounds and dished out six assists, tallying a plus-minus of -30 in his 25:14 on the floor. Rondo went 1 of 2 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Rondo's minutes have jumped from five to 14 to 25 in his three games back from sports hernia surgery, and he's 9 of 13 from the floor with 16 assists in that limited time. Though the 31-year-old hasn't been a reliable scorer in some time, he should remain a very good source of assists and steals going forward.
Nov. 15 2:43 PM PT3:43 PM MT4:43 PM CT5:43 PM ET22:43 GMT6:43 3:43 PM MST5:43 PM EST2:43 UAE (+1)23:4317:43 ET4:43 PM CTNaN: - Rondo made his first start in a Pelicans uniform Wednesday and scored four points Wednesday, going 2 of 4 from the field, as New Orleans fell to the Toronto Raptors 125-116. Rondo pulled down two rebounds and dished out eight assists, tallying a plus-minus of +9 in his 14:14 on the floor. He added one steal.
Analysis: Rondo was racking up the assists in his limited playing time and looked good in his second game back from sports hernia surgery. The veteran point guard still figures to be on a rather strict minutes limit over the next week or two, but holds plenty of promise in the Pelicans' free-wheeling offense.
Nov. 14 8:39 AM PT9:39 AM MT10:39 AM CT11:39 AM ET16:39 GMT0:39 9:39 AM MST11:39 AM EST20:39 UAE17:3911:39 ET10:39 AM CTNaN: - Rajon Rondo scored two points Monday, going 1 of 1 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans topped the Atlanta Hawks 106-105. Rondo did not grab a rebound but dished out two assists, accumulating a plus-minus of 0 in his 4:56 on the floor.
Analysis: Rondo made his Pelicans debut following about a month of rehabilitation from surgery to repair a core muscle injury. He had two points and two assists in about five minutes in the first half. ''Adrenaline is still going, so of course I feel great. We'll see how my body responds'' Tuesday, Rondo said.
Oct. 10 8:02 AM PT9:02 AM MT10:02 AM CT11:02 AM ET15:02 GMT23:02 8:02 AM MST10:02 AM EST19:02 UAE17:0211:02 ET10:02 AM CTNaN: - Rondo, yet to play this season due to a sports hernia, could make his season debut Monday against Atlanta.
Analysis: Rondo will come off the bench and will only play a few minutes if at all.
July 15 9:02 AM PT10:02 AM MT11:02 AM CT12:02 PM ET16:02 GMT0:02 9:02 AM MST11:02 AM EST20:02 UAE18:0212:02 ET11:02 AM CTNaN: - Rondo has agreed to join the Pelicans on a one-year contract.
Analysis: After drawing little interest from teams needing a starting point guard, the 31-year-old heads to New Orleans to serve as a backup to Jrue Holiday. This will be the fifth team in four seasons for Rondo, who averaged 7.8 points and 6.7 assists for the Bulls in 2016-17 but stepped up his play in the playoffs. He averaged 11.5 points and 10 assists in leading Chicago to a pair of opening-round wins over the Celtics, then missed the rest of the series with a broken thumb.
