|3/25/2017||Craig Anderson, Ott, G|
|Anderson stopped just 21 shots in Ottawa's 3-1 loss at rival Montreal on Saturday.
Analysis: The veteran netminder is in a bit of a rut, having lost three of his last four starts and allowing three or more goals in each of those defeats. Prior to that sluggish stretch, Anderson posted a 1.67 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in winning six straight starts.
|3/25/2017||Mike Hoffman, Ott, LW|
|Hoffman assisted on the Senators' lone goal in Saturday's loss at Montreal to extend his point streak to six games.
Analysis: Hoffman has now recorded at least one point in 14 of his last 18 outings. Though he's netted only four goals over that stretch, the forward has delivered 14 assists and is a plus-9.
|3/25/2017||Shea Weber, Mon, D|
|Weber had a power-play goal in the first period to help the Canadiens defeat Ottawa on Saturday.
Analysis: Twelve of Weber's 17 goals have come on the power play, tops among NHL defensemen. The accomplished veteran trails only San Jose's Brent Burns for the most overall goals from a blueliner this season as well.
|3/25/2017||Carey Price, Mon, G|
|Price bounced back from a shaky last start to deliver 31 saves in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Ottawa.
Analysis: Price, who stopped just 19 of 22 shots in Thursday's loss to Carolina, has now beaten the rival Senators three times in a span of eight days and has yielded just five goals in those wins. He's been pretty good against most everyone else as well, sporting a 9-2-0 record and a sparkling 1.53 goals-against average over his last 11 starts.
|3/25/2017||Andrei Markov, Mon, D|
|Markov played a major role in the Canadiens' 3-1 win over rival Ottawa on Saturday, scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist.
Analysis: This one was hard to see coming, as Markov entered the matchup with just two goals in his previous 39 games and last scored twice in a contest on Jan. 11, 2014. The 38-year-old defenseman has remained a solid source of assists, having notched six over his last 10 games.
|3/25/2017||Connor Brown, Tor, RW|
|Brown scored in a second straight game during the Maple Leafs' 5-2 loss at Buffalo on Saturday.
Analysis: Though he isn't getting nearly as much attention as Toronto's other young players, the 23-year-old Brown has put together a fine rookie season with 18 goals and 32 points over 74 games.
|3/25/2017||Auston Matthews, Tor, C|
|Matthews scored his 34th goal of the season in Saturday's loss at Buffalo, tying a Maple Leafs' rookie record set by Wendel Clark in 1985-86.

|Kulikov made a successful return to the ice by recording a goal and an assist in the Sabres' 5-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.
Analysis: The defenseman had been sidelined the past three weeks with an upper-body injury. Saturday's output matched Kulikov's entire point total through his first 39 games as a Sabre, so perhaps he'll able to finish a disappointing season on a positive note.
|3/25/2017||Ryan O'Reilly, Buf, C|
|O'Reilly contributed a goal and an assist to the Sabres' 5-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.

Analysis: The second-year standout remains on a major roll, having racked up 10 goals in his last 14 contests and 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists) in 23 games since Feb. 7. Though the Sabres are going through another disappointing season, Eichel's play is at least providing lots of hope for the future.

|3/25/2017||Alexander Wennberg, Cls, C|
|Wennberg scored his 13th goal of the season in Friday's 1-0 win over the Flyers.
